Decapar o móvel | Stripping furniture

Depois de desmontar a mesa vintage, apliquei o decapante e deixei atuar até 30 minutos.

Eu utilizo o decapante em gel, pois como se trata de uma reação química sobre a madeira, o produto não salpica e torna a operação mais segura.

Findo o tempo de espera, o material resultado da reação pode ser retirado com uma espátula, palha de aço ou Scotch-Brite.
Neste caso, como o verniz era muito espesso foi necessário fazer uma segunda aplicação.

Removida a maior parte dos resíduos, lixei a superfície com uma lixa 120.

Agora todas as peças do móvel têm a madeira ao natural. 

Falta voltar a montar a mesa e pensar no acabamento.

After disassembling the vintage table, I applied the furniture stripper and left it work up to 30 minutes.

Because is a chemical reaction on the wood, I used a furniture stripper gel, don’t splashes and makes the operation safer and easier.

After the timeout, the waste can be removed with a spatula, steel wool or Scotch-Brite.
The coating was too thick so it was necessary to make a second application. 
Then, I sanded the surface with 120 grit sandpaper.

Now all the pieces of furniture have the natural wood.

I have to re-assemble the table and think about the finish.

Mesa vintage | Vintage table

Uma mesa vintage que precisa de ser salva. 

Problema 1 . A mesa tem problemas estruturais e é necessário desmontá-la e voltar a colar as peças que estão empenadas.

Problema 2 . A superfície apresenta sinais de uso, o verniz é muito antigo e em algumas zonas está estalado. Preciso de retirar este verniz e aplicar um novo acabamento.

Vai ficar como nova!

A vintage table who needs to be saved.

Issue 1 . the table has structural problems, it is necessary to disassemble and glued again the warped pieces.

Issue 2 . The surface shows signs of use, the varnish is very old and is cracked. I need to remove this varnish and apply a new finish.

It'll look like a new one!

Cadeira para estofar | Reupholster a chair

Comecei a desmanchar o estofo das cadeiras para renovar com novos materiais.

O enchimento e a serapilheira estavam muito degradadas.

A imagem 6 é o material que poderei aproveitar para voltar a estofar.

I started to disassemble the upholstery of the seats to refresh with new materials. 

The sackcloth was much degraded. The image 6 is the material that I’ll may reuse to reupholster.
