Estou de volta com o estofo para as cadeiras!
Depois de definir a estrutura do estofo com as molas é a vez de passar ao enchimento.

I'm back with the upholstery for the chairs!
After setting structure with the springs is time for the filling.

Cortei á medida um pedaço de esponja de aproximadamente 2 cm de espessura (poderia ter também utilizado um ligeiramente mais grosso), e agrafei ao longo de toda a moldura de madeira.

Cut a piece of sponge approximately 2 cm thickness (could also have used a thicker one) and staple all along the wooden frame.

Para ficar com um aspecto mais fofo, usei uma fileira de dracalon enrolado e fixei com agrafos ao longo da moldura. Assim, quando pressionado (como indica a segunda figura acima), o enchimento vai preencher os rebordos.

Utilizei mais uma camada de dracalon recortada á medida entre a fileira que criei. Recortei mais uma camada de dracalon, desta vez em acesso para fixar com agrafos no verso.
Se preferirem, podem fazer mais camadas. Dracalon a mais, nunca é demais!

To make it look fluffy, I used a wound row of dracalon and fixed it with staples along the frame. So, when pressed (as indicated by the second image above), the filler will fill the edges.

I used another layer of dracalon between the row that I created. And to finalize the filling I cut one more layer of dracalon and staple on the back.
If you prefer, you can create more layers. One more never hurts!

Utilizo sempre pano cru para finalizar o estofo, para além de agarrar e proteger o material de enchimento, é óptimo caso queira no futuro apenas mudar o tecido sem mexer na estrutura.

O estofo está agora prontinho para receber o tecido!

I always use raw cloth to finish the upholstery, allows to grab and protect the filling and it’s great if in future you have to change the fabric without changing the structure.

The upholstery is now ready to welcome the fabric!

Comecei a desmanchar o estofo das cadeiras para renovar com novos materiais.

O enchimento e a serapilheira estavam muito degradadas.

A imagem 6 é o material que poderei aproveitar para voltar a estofar.

I started to disassemble the upholstery of the seats to refresh with new materials. 

The sackcloth was much degraded. The image 6 is the material that I’ll may reuse to reupholster.
